Concerns from Teachers

We learn these things in the course!

Ms. Lewis

My concerns are behavior and classroom management. I also need a cheat sheet and an explanation of what accommodations are and how to implement them. We are seeing a lot of students with ADHD and Autism.

Ms. Richardson

I would like to know more about behavior interventions and strategies. I would also like an accurate description of the student to help me be prepared and maintain relationships.

Ms. Watson

My concerns are about differentiation in the classroom while still allowing the students to be inclusive to the classroom and making sure the standards are being reached

What is in the course?

6 lessons

Lesson 1

How to read IEPs/504 plans

In this lesson, I break down how to read an IEP or 504 plan. You’ll get templates for sheets to give the special education teacher, case worker, or fill out yourself, which creates a snapshot of the student for easy access.

Lesson 2

Accommodation vs Modification

Here you’ll learn the differences between an accommodation and modification. You’ll also learn how to take information from your snapshot and put in on the accommodation template I will give you for quick access. You’ll learn how to implement these accommodations and modifications class wide, not individually per student.

Lesson 3

ADHD and autism

Here we will take a dive into what these students might look like in the classroom. You’ll learn strategies to implement that will not only be beneficial to them but your entire class.

Lesson 4

Behavior management/ Interventions

Here we will take a deep dive into what works and what doesn’t. I will be giving all types of resources and strategies for you to mold into what will work for you. Templates will be given in order to best organize your behavior management plan.

Lesson 5

Lesson plans

You’ll learn how to implement differentiation and scaffolding into your lesson plans. We do this in ways that follow the IEP/504 plans and can be generalized for teachers to #teacheasier. I give templates and resources for this lesson!

Lesson 6

Data collection

You’ll learn how to collect data without overwhelming yourself with extra work and using that data to adjust your lesson plans and I class strategies.
